Grigory Lepsveridze, a.k.a. Grigory Leps, is one of Russia’s most popular singer-songwriters. Born in Sochi, his musical style has evolved over time from traditional music to soft rock. His fans especially love his powerful baritone voice, which earned him a spot as coach on the Russian version of The Voice. Grigory Leps is also a talented drummer. His career began in 1995 and his greatest success was in 2002 with a song titled “Rjumka vodki na stole” (“Рюмка водки на столе”) from the album On Strings of Rain (Na strunakh dozhdya). Since then, Grigory Leps has performed in all of Russia’s big cities, often selling out and even filling the Crocus City Hall in Moscow five nights in 2017. He has his own production studio where he helps young Russian artists find their voice. The recipient of many awards, he was selected as an Honoured Artist of Russia in 2011. Without a doubt, the Russian-speakers in the Principality will be there to applaud him at the Salle des Etoiles during the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival 2019.
