Khaby Lame Becomes World’s Most-Followed TikToker
The World Influencers and Bloggers Awards 2022 Grand Prix winner Khaby Lame is now the number One TikToker in the world.

Khaby Lame is known for his TikTok videos in which he silently mocks overly complicated “life hack” videos. He started making TikToks after losing his job in a northern Italian factory during the COVID-19 pandemic. The newspaper reported that his “wordless, expressive reaction clips” sparked an international following that goes beyond his early Italian-heavy clips. “It’s my face and my expressions which make people laugh,” he told The New York Times in 2021. Lame became the biggest user on the platform when he surpassed Charli D’Amelio’s 142.3 million followers. Lame, who lives in Italy and was born in Senegal, has gained TikTok fame and now has a follower base of 142.7 million accounts. Khaby Lame’s achievement tops D’Amelio and her sister Dixie, who have taken the TikTok world by storm and used their fame to bank millions, including an estimated $27.5 million in 2021, according to Forbes.
