The 76th Festival de Cannes Opening

The 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the most glamorous film festival on the calendar, started. Over the next 11 days, the Promenade de la Croisette will screen premieres from Hollywood’s most notable directors — from Martin Scorscese to Wes Anderson — and will welcome A-list celebrities onto one of the industry’s most-watched red carpets.

The 76th Cannes Film Festival with the premiere of Johnny Depp’s Louis XV period drama, “Jeanne du Barry.” The project is the actor’s first movie since his highly publicized defamation trial last year with his former wife, Amber Heard. Also screening at Cannes is “Indiana Jones and the Dial of the Destiny” and Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
