Met Gala 2021 Red Carpet

The Met Gala is fashion’s biggest night out. The theme for this year’s Met Gala was a celebration of American fashion, so there were plenty of star-spangled styles throughout the evening. “American Independence” was listed as the official dress code, and this meant anything from splashy, red-white-and-blue looks, to more discreet wears that are made here in the U.S. No matter the interpretation, celebrities made major statements with their outfits—the Met Gala has a history of creating memorable fashion looks, after all.
